MRI Technologist — Imaging Centers Arringdon (Mon–Fri 3pm–11pm)

The largest of four Duke Health hospitals with 1062 patient beds, it features comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including a regional emergency/trauma center and endo-surgery center. $15,000 Commitment Bonus, $3,000 Relocation. Monday–Friday, 3p–11pm. Perform complex, specialized, and technical tasks associated with high field strength magnets. Support the Imaging Centers Division and perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Duties include operating MRI equipment to produce specialized images; screening patients for MR safety and maintaining zone safety; performing MRI procedures per established protocols, policy, and patient safety standards; evaluating scans for technical quality; IV placement and contrast administration with power injectors; ensuring customer satisfaction; quality control; orienting and training new MRI technologists; and assisting daily MRI operations across the Ambulatory Platform. Education: Completion of a 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology plus an accredited MR program; OR a bachelor's degree in Radiology with two semesters of clinical MR rotation; OR a 24-month AMA-approved radiologic program with two years of DUHS Radiology experience. Experience: Level I must obtain ARRT certification within 12 months. Level II requires at least two years as an MRI technologist. ARRT certification in Radiography, MR certification within 12 months, and BLS certification required. DUHS offers career growth through a clinical ladder program.
