Job Description
VCU Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Richmond, Virginia. You will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per protocol
- Operate gamma cameras, SPECT, and PET/CT equipment
- Perform quality control on imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals
- Ensure radiation safety and proper waste disposal
- Process and evaluate nuclear medicine images
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- State licensure required
- BLS/CPR certification
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology
- 2-5 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and positioning
